Transformation is defined as the process of explaining the alterations within the size, shape and orientation of the object utilizing the scaling rotation reflection shearing and translation and so on.

In active transformation, points x and x’ characterizes different coordinates of same coordinate system. In this, all points are acted upon by same transformation and thus, shape of the object is not changed. In the passive transformation, points x and x’ show the same points within the space however in the different coordinate system. In this, change within the coordinates is because of the alterations within the type of user coordinate system.
