Polyembryony refers to the phenomenon where a single embryo in its initial embryonic stage splits itself forming various new individuals of same sex and genetically identical. This refers to the way; for example, in which reproduction occur within the armadillos of genus Dasypus. Polyembryony is an example of natural “cloning”.
