Interim Standard 95 (that is, IS-95) is the primary CDMA based digital cellular standard by Qualcomm. The brand name for IS-95 is cdma One. IS-95 is also termed as TIA-EIA-95.

This is a 2G Mobile Telecommunications Standard which employs CDMA, a multiple access scheme for digital radio, to send data, voice and signaling data (like a dialed telephone number) among mobile telephones and cell sites.
