SDLC stands for Software Development Life Cycle.
SDLC is a structure imposed on the growth of a software product. Alike terms comprise software life cycle and software process. It is frequently considered as a subset of systems development life cycle. There are some models for such processes, each explaining approaches to a diversity of tasks or actions which take place throughout the process. Some of the people consider a life-cycle model a more general term and a software development method a more specific term.
