Applications of FPGAs comprise digital signal processing, software-defined radio, aerospace and defense systems, medical imaging, ASIC prototyping, computer vision, speech recognition, cryptography, bioinformatics, radio astronomy, computer hardware emulation, metal detection and a growing range of other regions.
