Priority inversion and Dispatch Inversion

Explain the term Priority inversion and Dispatch Inversion.




Priority inversion:

The high priority process could be waiting for the lower -priority one to complete its execution. This situation is termed as the Priority Inversion.

Dispatch latency:

The time consumed by the dispatcher in order to stop one process and begin another running is called as the Dispatch Latency.
