Centrifugal Pump which have more than one impellers is called as a Multistage Centrifugal Pump . These are used for high head and large number of discharge. For high head discharge, impellers are mounted on the same shaft that means pumps in series whereas for high discharge, the impellers are mounted over the different shafts that is pumps in parallel.
