Multifunction displays
What is meant by the multifunction displays?

In the multifunction displays, CRT displays serve as the MFKs. Most common way is for the CRT face to consist of the function labels which is correlated with the adjacent switches mounted within the bezel surrounding the CRT. It is easy through the software to alter the switch function and the associated label on the CRT. The second method of implementing the MFKs on CRTs is to overlay CRT face along with the touch-sensitive screen. The CRT face consists of several switch function legends and the corresponding function is selected by touching that particular portion of the screen over the switch label.
