The meta redirect (or meta refresh) tag is the meta http-equiv tag which, whenever inserted to the header of an HTML document, will cause the visitor's browser to load new web page subsequent to a specified number of seconds have passed after the initial document has loaded, fundamentally redirecting the visitor to new page. The webmaster specifies new page to be loaded and the number of seconds which should pass before the new page is loaded.
