Expert
Hypertext is theoretically the same as regular text – it can be read, stored, edited or searched – with a significant difference hypertext is text with pointers to the other text. Browser lets you in dealing with the pointers in a transparent manner – choose the pointer, and you have the text which is pointed at.
Hypermedia is the superset of hypertext. Hypermedia documents include links not only to other pieces of text, however also to other forms of media – movies, sounds, and images. Images themselves can be selected to link to documents or sounds. Hypermedia just combines hypertext and multimedia. Hypermedia is known by Ted Nelson in 1970.
