Front Side Bus (FSB): It is another name for the system bus. The Front Side Bus joins the CPU to the main memory. Microprocessor bus which connects the CPU to a Level 2 cache is known as Back Side Bus. Normally, a backside bus runs at the faster clock speed as compared to the Front Side Bus.
