Grouping of the OSI layer
Group OSI layers as per their function?
Expert
The seven layers of OSI model can be divided into three subgroups. Physical, data link and network layers are considered as the network support layers; they generally deal with the physical aspects of moving the data from one device to the other. Session, presentation and the application layers are considered as the user support layers; they enable interoperability among the unrelated software systems. The transport layer guarantees end-to-end reliable data transmission.
