Both xylem and phloem are the vascular tissues which are found within the plant. Xylem is defined as a tubular structure which is responsible for the transport of the water from roots towards all of parts of the plant. Phloem is also tubular structure which, otherwise, is responsible for the transportation of food and other nutrients required by the plant.
