Define Management Information Systems or MIS

Management Information Systems (MIS): It is a general term for the computer systems in an enterprise which give information about its business operations. It is also employed to refer to the people who manage such systems. Usually, in a big corporation, "MIS" or the "MIS department" refers to the central or centrally-coordinated system of computer management and expertise, frequently comprising mainframe systems however as well including by extension the corporation's whole network of computer resources.
