Explain in short why electron and proton encompass similar charge while the proton is 1836 times heavier?

Since the electric charge mainly depends on the mass times the radius of particle and while the mass of proton is 1836 greater than the mass of electron, the radius of proton is 1836 times smaller. Therefore, the product of mass time’s radius is in both particles similar and thus they have similar charge.
