The wireless control message protocol or WCMP give the error handling mechanism for the WDP and must therefore, be implemented. WCMP consists of the control messages which look like the internet control message protocol for the IPv4, messages and may also be used for the diagnostic and informational purposes. WCMP may be used by the WDP nodes and the gateways to report the error.
