What is meant by the term Safe State and state its use in the deadlock avoidance?

Whenever a process requests for an available resource, system should decide if any immediate allocation of resources leaves the system in the safe state. System is in a safe state if there exist a safe sequence of all the processes. Deadlock Avoidance always ensure that a system will never enter an unsafe state.
