Expert
Middleware is defined as distributed software which is required to support the interaction between clients and the servers. In short, it is software which is in middle of Client/Server systems and it acts as the bridge between clients and servers. It begins with the API set upon the client side which is used in order to triggers the service and it covers the transmission of request on the network and the resulting response. It neither involves the software which offers the actual service - which is in the servers’ domain nor user interface or the application login - that's within the client’s domain.
