Coeloms are the cavities which are delimited by the mesoderm. Coeloms create the cavities in which the internal organs of body are situated, such as the pericardial cavity, the pleural cavity and peritoneal cavity. Besides coelomate animals, there exist acoelomate animals, such as pseudocoelomate and platyhelminthes animals, such as nematodes. Coeloms are originated from the mesoderm.
