What happen when pepsin passes into duodenum

As pepsin is a gastric enzyme does it contain an acid or basic optimum pH? What occurs to pepsin whenever it passes into duodenum?

Pepsin acts in the stomach therefore its optimum pH is about 2, an acid pH. Whenever the enzyme passes to the duodenum it meets an upper pH and its enzyme activity finishes.
