This algorithm checks and modifies the characteristics that is, features and parameters of the pixels all along the current raster scan line. When it crosses from outside to the inside of boundary of particular polygon or other area, it starts rearranging the color for gray attributes in effect filling the area along that scan line .This change back to the original characteristics when it crosses the boundary. This is time consuming.
