How do one vary the image(s) in template?

One common template alter is to employ your own graphic/image. Simple graphics are linked in the html file. Simply modify the reference to the image of your choice in the html file of your template. In the administrative interface do this by going to Site =>Template manager and then choosing your template. Click the icon for html.
Bear in mind that it if it is a distinct size than the original image this might change the appearance of the site in unexpected ways.

Generally the images for a given template are located in this folder:
/templates/templatename/images (Substitute the name of the template you are employing in place of "templatename").
A trick for determining the name of the image is to put your cursor over it and click right. Choose view image. This will show the image and give its full url. Sometimes images are background images. It is viewable in Firefox or you can look for the background tag within your page source.
