In Designer we may specify the two types of strategies:
a) External strategies
b) Built–in strategies
Built–in Strategies : Designer offers a number of default strategies that we may use. These are the strategies in order to extract the joins, detecting the cardinalities, and producing the default classes and objects. Options in order to indicate the default strategies are situated in the Database tab of the Options dialog box.
External Strategies : We may also produce our own strategies. These strategies are considered as the external strategies. Along with the external strategy, we may describe the exact way that objects and joins need to be extracted from database structure. The external strategy is generally specific to one RDBMS.
