This system has two portion rates, when the output is under standard low piece rate is given to worker and when output is over standard a high piece rate is paid. It does not offer for any definite time rate payment. The major imperfection in this system is that even if the effectiveness of the worker is slightly below the standard limit, he gets hardly punished and even if the efficiency of the worker is slightly above the standard limit, he is promoted largely.
