Manages the session as well as batch scheduling: When we launch the informatica server the load manager queries and launches the repository for a list of session configured to execute on informatica server. When we configure the session the load manager maintains list of list of sessions and session start times. When we start a session load manger fetches the session information from repository to execute the verifications and validations prior to starting DTM process.

Reading and locking the session: When the informatica server starts a session load manager bolts the session from the repository. Locking prevents starting the session again and again.

Reading the parameter file: If the session uses the parameter files, load manager reads parameter file and finds out that the session level parameters are declared in file

Verifies authorization and privileges: When the session starts load manger check whether or not the users have privilege to execute the session.

Creating log files: Load manger makes log file holds the status of a session.
