SWOT Analysis

SWOT Analysis:

Strengths: The partners of our business enterprises have experience with restaurant business having worked with various restaurants for considerable time. They had the first hand experience with customer service in food industry. Our experience in and exposure to restaurant business is one of our strengths.

Weakness: The concept of supplying the packed lunch boxes to office is our weakness as well as strength. There are no existing businesses in this activity to take lessons from. So we have to pioneer every fact of this activity ourselves and set standards to be followed.

Opportunities: The opportunities to come up in this line of activity are a plenty in Canberra. The work force who are our potential customers in Canberra is extensively large and has a wide base. Added to them are the students. These two segments offer immense scope for improvement of business. Eventhough we are starting with only packed lunch boxes, we are leaving a lot  of scope of improvement. After setting this business on a smooth course, we will be going for the necessary expansion.

Threats:
At present there are no perceived threats to the new business venture either from the existing customers or new entrants, both of which are not yet existent. But it is unlikely to be the same situation in future. If the concept picks up and becomes a success, many new entrants will jump into the fray, particularly the restaurant community, because it is quite easy for them to enter this type of activity. They will be a real threat to us because they have superior infrastructural capacity. We are, however, confident that we will be able to hold our fort and retain hold on our clientele.
