A control system which is having the single input and single output is known as single input single output system or SISO system. When number of the plant inputs or number of plant outputs becomes more than one the system then it is known as multiple input output system or MIMO system. In both case, controller can be in form of digital computer or microprocessor where we can talk of digital control systems.
