Service must be stateless. It can have a context within its stateless execution; however it will not have an intermediary state waiting for the event or the call-back. Retention of the state-related data should not be extended beyond the request/response on the service. This is because the state management consumes a lot of the resources, and this may affect the scalability and availability which are needed for the reusable service.
