What do you mean by scan line polygon algorithm?

This algorithm checks and modifies the attributes that is, features and parameters of the pixels all along the current raster scan line. As soon as it crosses from the outside to inside of boundary of specified polygon or other area, it begins resetting the color for gray attributes in effect filling the area all along that scan line. It modifies back to the original attribute whenever it crosses the boundary again. This is time consuming.
