The Progressive movement was however a collaboration of many movements. They were all started with the purpose of eradicating corruption and injustice which Americans had tolerated for all such years. Some of the progressive movements were single-issue activists, little concerned in other reforms. Very few progressives favored each and every reform that was styled progressive. People who were progressives on many issues opposed reforms proposed by others as keenly as any conservative.
