Explain about pixels, points, and em's whenever fonts are exhibited?

A pixel is the lowest-resolution dot which computer monitor supports. Its size depends upon the settings of user and also on the size of the monitor. Point is all the time 1/72 of an inch. An em refers to the number of pixels it takes for displaing the letter M.
