IrOBEX, shortly OBEX refers to a session protocol that is developed by Infrared Data Association to exchange objects in the simple and spontaneous manner. OBEX, that offers same basic functionality as HTTP, but in the much lighter fashion. It utilizes the client-server model and is not dependent upon the transport mechanism and transport API, provided it realizes the reliable transport base.
