Multiplexing is said to be the set of techniques that allows the concurrent transmission of multiple signals across a single data link.

The different types of Multiplexing are:-

I.    Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM)

II.    Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)

a.    Synchronous TDM

b.    Statistical TDM or Asynchronous TDM

III.    Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM)
