Ovulation refers to the release of the female gamete from ovary. Ovulation refers to the periodical event which takes place during each menstrual cycle. Considering first day of the menstrual cycle, the day when menses begins, the ovulation takes place around the 14th day when the concentration of hormones LH and FSH attain the high levels.
