Give brief introduction of the term ‘access time’? Briefly describe its various kinds of timings in a hard disk drive?

• The access time is the time taken through the disk to read data on it and it is straightly related to the nature of the moving heads and the platter speeds.
• Seek time: This time specified the time taken through the head to get to the track where the required or target data is accessible.
• Rotational Latency: This latency incurs when the required data through the computer is still not under the head thus the assembly will have to move there.
• The access time of the HDD can be getting better through giving more rapidity in the rotation of the platter.
