What do you mean by the term Bottle neck effect? Briefly describe it.

Whenever the population recovers its original size then the member of small population might have diverged genetically from the unique parental population.  Therefore interbreeding between members of the small and bigger population might not be possible. The small population might encompass evolved to the new species. This kind of genetic drift is termed as the bottle neck effect.
