The meiosis which forms the female gametes begins within the cells of ovarian follicles before the birth. After beginning of the puberty, under the hormonal stimuli, during each menstrual cycle one of the cells is liberated on surface of ovary and meiosis resumes. The process of the meiotic is completed although if the process of fecundation occurs.
