Give a brief explanation of competition. Which kind of ecological interaction is competition?

Competition is ecological interaction in that the individuals discover the same ecological niche or their ecological niches partly coincide and thus competition for same environmental resources occurs. Competition is destructive for all participating beings and therefore it is categorized as an inharmonious (or as well known as negative) ecological interaction.
