The capability of the antiserum containing assorted antibodies to unite with the complete antigen is called as avidity. Thus, avidity is employed to signify the entire capability of an antibody to unite with multivalent antigen.
A multivalent antigen has various sorts of antigenic determinants, when this is injected in the blood each antigenic determinant stimulate production of specific antibody.
