Commensalism is defined as the ecological interaction where one individual gets benefitted while the other is not benefited neither gets harmed. Commensalism is considered as a harmonious (positive) ecological interaction, as none of the participants gets harmed. Example of the commensalism is: several bacteria which live within the skin and within the digestive tube of humans without being pathogenic and are neither beneficial. They are generally innocuous bacteria living in the commensalism along with the humans.
