Employment Standards Act:
It establishes minimum requirements for holidays, minimum wage, work hours, overtime, rest days and leaves, and vacation time and pay. Some jobs may be exempted from many of these standards.
Human Rights Code:
Prohibits direct discrimination (rule or practice that treats one person differently from another) and indirect discrimination (seemingly neutral practices that are discriminatory in their impact) on prohibited grounds (see Recruitment in previous section). It imposes a duty to accommodate, to make reasonable adaptations to the workplace to meet the needs of an employee who would otherwise not be able to work there. It prohibits harassment and sexual harassment (unwelcome or objectionable conduct).
