Ammensalism is defined as an inharmonious (negative) ecological interaction as one participant gets harmed.(Sometimes it is wrongly said that the ammensalism is a form of the ecological interaction where an organism liberates within the environment substances which harm another species; this situation is indeed an example of the ammensalims however the concept is not restricted to it.)
