There are different interfaces throughout that hard disks connect to the computer which are illustrated below: 1) Legacy Bit Serial Interfaces : They are the oldest form of interfaces that employed two cables to connect the disk to a controller. One cable was employed for data while the other is employed for control. A number of modern bit serial interfaces: Serial ATA, Fiber Channel and SCSI. 3) World Serial interfaces : They are comparable to modern bit interfaces; these interfaces make employ of a cable for data and control. Some of the ordinary world interfaces: EIDE, IDE, SCSI and so forth.
