Taeniasis is the parasitic disease caused by adult tapeworm installed in the human intestine. Cysticercosis happens when humans ingest eggs or pregnant proglottids of taenias, for illustration, by badly washed food or self infection. In cysticercosis humans suppose role of intermediate hosts of the parasite and the cysticerci build up in human organs such muscles, brain, eyes as well as subcutaneous tissue. The brain infestation by the cysticerci, a condition termed as neurocysticercosis, is very severe and might lead to death.
