Raster functions which manipulate the rectangular pixel arrays are usually termed to as raster ops. Moving the block of pixels from one position to other is as well termed as a block transfer of pixel values. On bi-level system, this operation is termed as bitBlt (or bit-block transfer); on multilevel system t is termed as pixBlt.
