Alpha and beta testing has different meanings to different people. Alpha testing can be defined as the acceptance testing completed at the development site. Few companies have different idea of alpha testing. Some consider alpha testing as a testing that is performed on early, not stable versions of software. On the other hand beta testing can be defined as acceptance testing which is performed at the user’s end. Or we can say in alpha and beta testing there is a difference of location where the tests are performed.
