Difference between RARP and ARP
Describe the difference between RARP and ARP?
Expert
The address resolution protocol (abbreviated as ARP) is employed to relate the 32-bit IP address with 48-bit physical address, employed by a host or a router to determine the physical address of other host on its network by sending an ARP query packet which comprises the IP address of the receiver. The reverse address resolution protocol (abbreviated as RARP) permits a host to discover its Internet address whenever it knows that it is just its physical address.
