What is the basic difference between bounds and frame?

The frame of a view is the rectangle, stated as a location (x,y) and size (width, height) associative to the superview it is contained in. The bounds of a view is the rectangle, stated as a place (x,y) and size (width, height) associative to its own coordinate system (0,0).
