Give a brief description of visual accommodation?
Expert
Visual accommodation is phenomenon of varying the curvature of crystalline lens to create probable the variation of its refractivity to adjust images of objects exactly on retina. The visual accommodation is completed by the action of ciliary muscles.
The nitid vision depends on visual accommodation because, if the images are not projected on retina but in front or behind it, they will emerge blurred. The closer an object is more the ciliary muscles should compress the crystalline lens (increasing its curvature); the more distant an object is more the ciliary muscles should relax.
