The Glycerol is a linear chain of three carbons; the central carbon is bound to 1 hydroxyl radical and to 1 hydrogen and the two other carbons in the extremities are bound to a hydroxyl radical and 2 hydrogen. The spatial sides of the hydroxyls are similar.
